iOS Utility - Seven apps that can make your iOS experience more exciting

The act of giving is an expression of love and true giving comes from the same place where love emanates. A gift is something that should be enjoyed twice. First, by the giver who revels in the pleasure of giving and secondly, by the receiver who feels loved. In our quest for love, technology has made it possible to shop for love from the comfort of our homes. Meaning we can easily crop out our imperfections and present the best parts of ourselves to the world all because we crave for acceptance. This has further been strengthened by the advent of smartphones with numerous social media platforms to go with them.

We have come to view technology as a shortcut to finding love prompting us to act in a deceitful manner. This has created a desperate need to impress and show off even as we blindly drift away from true love. A lot of young folks out there are unable to use their smartphones for purposes other than socialization and entertainment which is poor, considering the enormous potential a smartphone possesses.

The smartphone market is largely divided between Android and iOS users with a lot of research conducted on the number of people that subscribe to any of such devices. It might shock you to know how much our behavioral patterns have been shaped by the usage of smartphones and similar gadgets in the Internet of Things (IoT). I recently stumbled upon an article where three universities in the UK were able to unmask these behavioral patterns in a collaborative effort after 500 participants were asked to answer a set of questions about themselves and their attitude towards their smartphones. The comparison showed that iOS users were more than twice as likely to be females and were more concerned about viewing their devices as a “status object” than their Android counterparts. This study also revealed a major difference in personality, with iOS users being more extroverted than their Android counterparts and often displayed a higher level of emotionality.

It is for this reason that I shall be focusing on you, my iOS wielding friend even as I attempt to bring you a means of properly utilizing one of the most powerful devices in the market today.

Written below are seven apps that should not only aid in creating content, but should also enable you to make the most out of your Apple iOS device.

1. PRTG for iOS

PTRG for iOS

This app connects your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your PRTG installation for free! With iPRTG, you are able to perfectly execute everything as though you were making use of the PRTG web interface.

For example, you are able to access reports and send them as PDF files via electronic mail or print them using the Airprint. The QR code scanning makes it easy to jump directly to a sensor or to add a user account to the app.

Also, you are able to instantly scan your network status, pause and resume sensors, as well as set priorities and favorites using this app.

Note: The iPRTG app requires an iOS 4.0 or later versions to run smoothly as well as to view an entire network environment regardless of being on-site or off-site.

3. Duolingo

For everyone that is keen on learning a new language, Duolingo is the best free program you’ll find. This fantastic web program comes with free mobile apps for both android and iOS users enabling them to practice language learning on the go.

This paid membership service costs around $9.99 per month offering a discount if you’re willing to pay for a year upfront. As of January 2019, the website and app offers 85 different language courses in 24 languages and has about 300 million registered users worldwide.

The iOS app is easy to navigate as majority of the content mirrors what you find on the website, retaining a very high quality with excellent exercises and wonderful interface. Although it may contain some inaccuracies due to crowd sourced information especially at higher learning levels, the free language learning lessons available offline together with the good activity pace, well-structured content and fun exercises earns Duolingo a five-star rating and a recommendation for every iOS user interested in gaining a skill for personal development.
